Saving with the Small Business Efficiency Pilot Program
OUC recognizes the challenges facing many small businesses and responded by launching the Small Business Efficiency Pilot Program, a new program that shows small business owners how to reduce energy and water consumption and improve overall business operations. The program focuses on providing essential services to entrepreneurial and small businesses, which include how to write a business plan, how to write contracts, proper accounting methods and other information necessary in order for a new business to succeed. Once you’ve completed the Small Business Efficiency Pilot Program, you receive a $250 credit on your utility bill.
To receive the credit, you must:
Complete a Commercial Energy Survey or have had one completed in the past 12 months. An OUC auditor will visit your business; identify energy and water efficiency improvements; and provide information on OUC’s efficiency rebates and incentive programs. Call 407.423.9018 to schedule your audit.
Attend a one-hour counseling session at the National Entrepreneur Center at the Fashion Square Mall in Orlando. To schedule your visit, call the SBDC at 407.420.4850 and advise them you are participating in the OUC Small Business Pilot Program.
Getting started is easy!
Just complete the application and then take it with you to your appointment at the SBDC. The SBDC will validate your application and return it to OUC to process your credit.
